Guest guest
No, they're not. Neither are their breads. But they are cooked at lower temperatures than traditional breads and have sprouted grains rather than processed ones. If you're not worried about going 100% raw then they're an option. Guest guest
How about truly raw tortillas? Here's the one I use from Cousen's " Rainbow Green Life Food Cuisine " : 1 C golden flax seeds, soaked 1/2 ripe avocado Celtic salt to taste Water for consistency Blend ingredients in Vita-Mix or blender, adding water to create a smooth batter. Spread 1/2 C batter evenly on Teflex sheets--to a thickness of about 1/4 " and 6 " in diameter. The thinner your batter, the less time it will take to dehydrate. Dehydrate at 95 degrees for 2 - 3 hours, flip the tortillas over and remove the Teflex sheet, and continue dehydrating 2 - 3 hours more until the tortillas are soft and flexible. Remove the tortillas from the dehydrator before they are crisp. Makes ten 6 " tortillas. Shari
