Guest guest
Well..I did good today right up until dinner time. I couldn't keep from having a handful of the french fries I was making for the kids and Paul. (Paul's favorite meal is steak and fries). I am trying to not be discouraged, but I am feeling like I just can't do this. If I'm lucky I manage three or four days before I give in to the temptations. Paul thinks I should just concentrate on vegan for awhile til I can get a dehydrator and a vitamix so that I can make more things than just plain fruit and salads. If anyone wants to check in with me at a couple different times a day by messenger, I'm almost always logged in and near the computer. My AOL is CrayonScribe. MSN is RobertsZoo and my is MamaBethNC. Guest guest
Beth, I completely understand! I have been there numerous times in the last month. I am trying to eat raw, but still have to cook " normal " meals for my husband and son. I don't always win the battle with temptation, but I have seen some wonderful changes that keep me fighting. I have been dropping some weight, and my husband is working out alot isn't. He is SO annoyed that I am doing nothing (his words) and still loosing weight! Not long after that conversation, I was making my one of my usual veggie lunches and he said... uh, I will have that too.... My eating raw is SLOWLY rubbing off on him. He has started eating one meal a day raw with me. Its not a huge change, but it is one less meal I have to fight temptation with! I also have to agree with the others about your tastes changing. After 4 -5 weeks of this change, steaks just don't taste the same to me any more. I have found that I just don't want certain cooked foods any more. Keep up the fight, you will get there!! Guest guest
your all doing great. You will find in time, you wont crave cooked food much. I used to a lot when I started, but its easily weaning itself since now it seems like every time I eat anything cooked, I cant stand the taste, and I really cant stand how it makes me feel after wards. I used to (and I can say that now) crave Hot wings. I loved em! I ate some yesterday due to a craving and felt soooooo sick after wards and for the next 4-5 hours that I dont think I will have that craving again. the longer I eat raw, the more Cooked food is disagreeing with me and it is in effect making it easier to WANT to stay raw.... My only real hurdle anymore is just shear laziness and the fact that I hate to be in the kitchen.... So I am really getting this all down to the real basics and its taking some time, but I am enjoying it and learning fast what I like and what I dont like!~ Thanks out to all of you who have answered my tireless questions to this point~ Thanks Peace!
