Guest guest
Tommie: Thank you for this info. I found Meatrix #1 helpful so when I get highspeed I will check out Meatrix 2.. Have you heard Howard Lyman, The Mad Cowboy speak? I have on 4 occassions and I learn something new each time. I also bought his book and the DVD. I purchased the DVD to use with clients but since I have noticed watching media (TV) , listening to radio or reading newspaper makes being me more difficult (:>)) I recently put the MAD Cowboy DVD in when I had a craving for TV. It was very powerful and I highly recommend it. He definitely recommends lifestyle and dietary changes... Guest guest
I'm not familiar with Lyman but it sounds like something I should check out. BTW, loading Meatrix II on dialup isn't impossible. It's just slow. It probably would take two or three minutes with my connection. I just go ahead doing other things and it eventually comes up. Guest guest
I introduced Howard Lyman for a talk he was giving at Mesa State College about nine years ago. He was an incredibly personable speaker! I haven't read his book yet, but definitely got his message during the talk. Here is his site: http://madcowboy.com/ Suzy
Guest guest
Howard Lyman is the guy that told Oprah about mad cow disease in hamburger and she declared, on national television, to give up beef. They were both sued (and WON!) by the Cattlemens Association in Texas. Howard is a 5th generation cattle rancher who walked away from the farm many years ago and became vegetarian. Our family has had the honor of being his friend for many years and we've dined with him many times. Last time he was in the Seattle area, he was almost all raw. Haven't talked with him in months so I'm not sure where he is in all that right now. Just know he is a genuine man and an honest man. Guest guest
I was reading his site today and was thinking that raw would be a natural progression. As for Oprah giving up beef, I don't think that stuck. Just like she swore off pork when the movie " Babe " came out. I do want to learn more about Lyman. Maybe he could convince Oprah to go raw.
