Guest guest
My son plays baseball - catcher. He got his little finger jammed and it is very swollen. He has soaked it. He has a bad headache. This happened yesterday. He doesn't think it is broken. What can I give him for his headache and what is your experience with pain like his? Guest guest
Judy, I'm sorry to heard that. Sounds like your son need an ice pack for the finger and time to heal. I'm not sure what else you could do. Sounds like your son may be experiencing a major detox which can cause bad headaches. Has he ever gotten headaches before? if he is truly detoxing, and that is part of the source of his pain, I would feed him alittle cooked food and see if that helps. Other things: Is he drinking enough water? Sometimes a ice pack applied to the head for a short time helps. My dad gets migraines when he's mixed certain foods together (like fruit and something). Maybe your son is sensitive to certain foods or combinations??Also, massaging pressure points, like on the head, near his neck may help. Its helps my dad. Also, chiropractors that can give good adjustments can help alot. Sometimes one can develop a headache/neck pain/back pain or pinched nerves if his or her body is " off. " Let us know how he's doing. May God comfort your son.... Jen Judy Cozza <judycozza wrote: My son plays baseball - catcher. He got his little finger jammed and it is very swollen. He has soaked it. He has a bad headache. Guest guest
Jen - you were so sweet to reply. Thanks for all your suggestions. I think you are right about his detoxing. I knew it would be a simple solution. Thanks for your help. Judy On 4/2/06, Jen Lynn <jenfly777 wrote: > > Judy, > > I'm sorry to heard that. Guest guest
Judy, I don't know if you have any experience with energy work but I think that as a Mom you can probably do it for both the headache and the finger. Before you start take some deep breaths and relax, feel your own body. Then just cradle your son's head in your hands and hold it lightly. As you are doing this think about letting the healing energy of the universe flow through you and into your son. Visualize a stream of pure love coming through your crown and feet and flowing out through your hands into his body. Ask him to relax and pretend that he has a straw inside his mouth that goes to the area where the pain is. When he breathes in have him visualize love, relief, or whatever concept works for him flowing through the straw to the area where the pain is located. You can do the same thing with his finger. You may or may not feel movement beneath your hands don't worry about it. Just concentrate on letting all the love you feel for him flow through your hands into him. Also, do the ice and everything the others have suggested. Good luck. It is hard when our little ones are hurting. Know you posted this yesterday. Hope that he is better already and you don't need to do any of this.
