How do you make the caramelized onions? Sounds excellent!

They really were excellent - I thought the recipe was listed with the

others but it's not:( From what I can remember though...

 

he used a mandolin to slice red onions very thin. He then put it in a

marinade that had dates (for the sweetness) and nama shoyu (for the

sasaltiness) - he might have added some lemon juice or vinegar as

well, I can't remember :( I'll post a message to the Toronto group

to see if anyone else there wrote it down.

No, they were just marinated. Maybe for 1/2 - 1 hour? I wish I wrote

this down!!!!

I've marinated onion and cucumber in lime juice with agave and sea

salt. YUMMY!
