Guest guest
Hi Everyone... My curiosity has gotten the better of me today. As I have been surfing the thousands of free video's at Google Video. I found some very interesting ones, these are personal videos of people feeding their infant children. These babies that getting that first taste of food i.e. cooked food. I sent the letter below to Jinjee and Storm and am awaiting a response. I think instinctivly all infants know that cooked food is bad for them. That's why parents have such a hard time feeding them cooked/solid foods in the early months of their lives. That is of course if they've only been breastfed and not Formula fed. It is my feeling that infants who are breastfed by their mothers will have the greatest aversion to the introduction of cooked foods. Since basically they are 100% raw up until that point. There facial expressions and their baby voices speak volumes as to the reception of cooked substances. This is of course my opinion. It could very well be possible that these are just fussy babies. What do you think? These are all very short clips. Interesting to watch. The meals in question are (of course) cooked baby rice cereals. zack's first taste of solid food http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3101493666251941412 & q=FOOD & pl=true Hannah tries solid food http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8857602349797474241 & q=FOOD & pl=true Sophie eats some Solid Food (Sophie is adorably wise... 31 seconds) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3942906463195943302 & q=FOOD & pl=true Jake Eats Some Bad Food (I don't think this is a first time for solid food--but it's quite interesting. 36 seconds) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5518030216114633963 & q=FOOD & pl=true ______________________________\ __________ " THE FUTURE OF FOOD " (1 hr. and 28 minutes) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1340395745035582980 & q=The+truth+about+f\ ood & pl=true " Genetically Modified Food - Panacea or poison " (53 minutes) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4257109745160540352 & q=Poison+or+Panacea\ & pl=true ______________________________\ __________ Hi Jinjee and Storm, I want to thank you for your daily raw inspiration. It is much appreciated. Today I was surfing through some of the free video's at google having to do with food. And I happened upon a interesting short 4 minute video called FOOD WAR. Link is here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1110875724575217373 & q=FOOD & pl=true It's a home video of a young infant being fed, a typical cooked food meal. Putting up much resistance as to food being lovingly presented by the parent. In watching it. I sensed that, I could feel the infants objections to the cooked food it was being forced to consume. Take a peek at the video. I was wondering how your infant children behave when they were first being introduced to living foods. Did they accept them easily or did you struggle to get them to eat like the baby in the video? I think instinctivly all infants know that cooked food is bad for them. That's why parents have such a hard time feeding them cooked/solid foods in the early months of their lives. What are your thoughts. I'd love to hear them. Guest guest
I only looked at the first one and wanted to cry. They are not funny, they are sad. The child obviously did not want rice cereal. A child should be excited about their first food. Sorry, but that was just my take on these. Shari
