Guest guest
I was thinking the same 2 things you state below, and would like to comment that I really think it really was a VERY selfish and decieving act that the Ann Wigmore Institute made to trademark/copywright such a term! It's as if they saw a perfect opportunity to grab a term that was widely being used and get legal protection for it just so that they can turn against their fellow raw foodist community and sue. I personally hope these traitors don't win. -Tiffany Tanlathiel <jencorris wrote: I think part of it also has to do with the dates that this other book was published (or when her foundation was created). If it happened when Ann Wigmore's trademark registration was lapsed then there is no claim on the term " living foods " . I, for one, know that I've seen those particular terms EVERYWHERE, and certainly not always in connection with the Ann Wigmore Institute. Guest guest
The same thing has happened in the yoga world with Bikrim. He has trademarked " his " postures. Pretty sad. Guest guest
That's really harsh. This is what I sent earlier, but it didn't seem to go through. I do not and can not speak for the Institutes or the Foundation and I know nothing nor have any ability to speak about the lawsuit. I just teach classes. I do know that those involved with managing these NON-PROFIT INSTITUTIONS and FOUNDATION founded by Dr. Ann Wigmore take very seriously their responsibility of protecting the integrity of the life work of Dr. Ann. Those who work at managing the Institutes and Foundation, that Dr. Ann left behind, have dedicated their lives to spreading her work throughout the world in the most open and positive way. Though I do not know any specifics of the suit, I do know the loving nature of the hearts and minds of those who work at these struggling non-profits and I can only imagine the difficulties that have led them to this unfortunate action of having to file suit to protect the work of Dr. Ann Wigmore. I do not know anything about this person who is reportedly profiting from her work. I do believe that is probably the sad end of what was probably long and difficult road of resolving a difficult situation. I can only say, be sure YOU get all the facts before start making harsh condemnations.
