I am getting my husband to start sungazing with me, but he says it

hurts his eyes. He's worried because he had cataracts and has

replacement lenses through surgery. Also I had lasik. Can it damage his

eyes because of eye surgery and artificial lenses implanted or hurt my

eyes? Or will he just get used to it as he increase by 10 seconds each

day? Thanks.

Minnie, I worked up to a minute and 40 seconds when it seemed that

every morning I had time to do it, the UV index was too high. I don't

know if it could damage our eyes or not but I would rather not do it

and be safe than to do it and damage my eyes. I know there are a lot

of people out there who have done it successfully. I have read that

doing it can cause cataracts but that might be if a person is eating

SAD. The health of the natural lens depends on cholesterol and a raw

foodist should have a low cholesterol level. So...someone else might

have better information than I do. As far as your husband is

concerned, the lenses are like little magnifying glasses and, to me,

that could burn his eyes. I know, at first, people who have had lens

implants are very sensitive to light. If I were your husband (and

that's highly unlikely :) ) I wouldn't sungaze.

What time of day are you gazing? It's supposed to be right at sunrise.

Here's from the website:

" His formula was simple: either at sunrise or sunset (when the intensity of

the sun is at its minimum) stand on the earth and stare directly at the sun

for 10 seconds. Adding an additional 10 seconds to the total sungazing time

each consecutive day. In 6 months your hungers would be under control and

understood. Stand there for 10 months you would never need food again. Not

only that, but, you would not have to stare at the sun again. After 44

minutes of sungazing one would be 'full', energized, just like a solar

charged battery. There was no need to continue the practice. Essentially,

HRM preached to the world that within one year, anyone could learn to live

without the need for food. "

" Yes we only gaze at an hour before sunset. "

No, I said at SUNRISE. Sun is not so strong then. Around here I cannot

look toward the west at sunset it is very painful.

Hi Shari,

I realize " you " said sunrise, but in your post you had " His formula

was simple: either at sunrise or sunset... " And all the sungazing

things I've read say one hour after sunrise OR one hour before sunset.

Well anyway I'm thinking it might not be such a good idea for my

hubby.

The concept is, as I heard personally at one of his seminars, was

that one starts slowly at the beginning of sunrise, and right before

sunset.

The concept is about how the Sun will recharge ones blood (the

example given) and one works up, VERY SLOWLY, to a 45 minute level.

The concept being that while one is having sunlight filter directly

into the eyes, it takes 45 minutes for ones whole blood count to

pass through the vessels in the eyes during it's round-trip inside

the body. Thus " energizing " the blood as the sunlight hits it

directly.

I'm not that good at describing this, here is the main link.

Here is the website and information. http://www.solarhealing.com/
