Guest guest
I've seen peppers growing in peppers (maybe they're pregnant?) but never one that was integrated! That's really different. Did you take a picture of it? Guest guest
Red bell peppers are just green peppers they have let ripen. Ever notice how expensive red peps are compared to green? That's because nothing will eat a green pepper in nature, 'cept us. Bugs know better. That makes the green ones more profitable. The farmer doesn't have to do anything but spray the field and grow a green pepper. I never touch green peppers for just that reason - they are an unripe fruit and we're not meant to eat unripe fruit. All the colored peppers are ripe fruit. And yes, I find baby peppers growing inside other peppers very often. Shari
Guest guest
I have actually had that happen to me, once. It was a small little green pepper growing inside either a red one or a yellow one. It is weird looking! Leah Dobby the house elf <dobeythehouseelf wrote: I cut open a red bell pepper today...and inside was a green bell pepper growing.... Oh, wow! you got a big one! I see them often, in green, in red, in orange peppers. I don't know what it is. I get them out and use them, anyway. Maybe it is from a seed that just decided to get a jump start. It is weird to get a pregnant pepper. Margaret
