Guest guest
Yes, I agree with Tirza the Champion is a getter and a keeper! The homogenization blank is great for not only making ice cream from frozen banana and sherbets from frozen berries, but it also can double as a sort of food processor/grinder, which makes the foods easier to digest. And it is just such a good workhorse, simple to use, lasts next to forever, very few parts to clean. (Once you have done it a number of times it becomes automatic and very easy.) It's a classic, and classics are good for a long, long time to come. I prefer to blend my greens rather than juice them anyhow, though I don't know about blending wheatgrass and how that would work out. However there is a low-tech and free alternative for wheatgrass, as long as you have good molars to use: just chew and chew and chew and spit out the fiber. It is nice to know that most grasses are not poisonous to people and if ever in a survival situation, chew grass as much as possible, spitting out the cellulose. Or maybe it is okay to swallow the fiber of wheatgrass and other grasses? Anyone know??? I mean, I know the body can't break down the cellulose, but would it be a good broom for sweeping clean the intestines anyhow? I always like to think in terms of survival mode just in case it would ever become good to know, and if in survival mode with good water being scarce I would not relish spitting out even that little bit of moisture in the " cud " if it would be okay to swallow it! Guest guest
I've wondered why we can't just chew and swallow the wheat grass too! Like you said - it would be a good cleaner ;-) ~Amber > However there is a low-tech and free alternative for wheatgrass, as > long as you have good molars to use: just chew and chew and chew and > spit out the fiber. Guest guest
I guess you could swallow it if you were equipped like cows are with four stomachs and the ability to bring it up and " chew the cud " . I'm so confused. *Why* would you spit out the fiber? Why not swallow it, and get the advantage of the whole plant/fiber/etc.? In addition to the vitamins/minerals, etc., you would get the fiber " broom " . Margaret
