Guest guest
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has been trying water therapy along with the raw food diet? Drinking 1.25 litres of water in the morning....etc etc..... , I will post the therapy if any one is interested in trying. Benefited a great deal, infact my husband had his gastritis cured by this therapy. Terry http://www.healthyjuicecentral.info Ring'em or ping'em. Guest guest
I DO THIS EVERY MORNING!!! It gets me going better than when I used to drink coffee or tea! I actually drink one quart of purified water right out of the glass measuring bowl with a couple tablespoons of freshly squeezed organic lemon juice and colloidal silica drops, right after brushing my teeth. Then an hour later I eat only organic, compatible fruits until about 11am to finish off my morning cleanse. Haven't had any bowel or intestinal problems since! -Tiffany Lohr - In rawfood , terry garner <terrygarner79 wrote: Hi, I was wondering if anyone has been trying water therapy along with the raw food diet? Guest guest
Hi Bill, I get up between 5:30 - 6:00 am, so I usually drink it all before 6:15am. Around 7:30 I'll eat some pineapple and grapefruit pieces, or a couple oranges and slice of pineapple. This gives me enough time to use the bathroom before leaving to work. At 9:30, while I'm at work, some days I'll make a " bananna split " with fresh apple juice, which is a bananna sliced down the middle and covered with smashed grapes mixed with red delicious apple pulp - from the juicer after I've juiced the apples. -Tiffany Lohr Bill Schoolcraft <Bill wrote: At Wed, 17 May 2006 it looks like Tiffany composed: I DO THIS EVERY MORNING!!! Guest guest
Is the quart of water what you drink for the day or do you drink more water off and on? Guest guest
Hi Tommie, I'm glad you asked, because that's one of the benefits...drinking a quart of water within 15 minutes early in the morning satisfies my fluid needs until the afternoon. (And I'm the chic who drank over a gallon of water daily, feeling real crabby anytime I was without water because I'd dehydrate so easilly). When I researched food combining, I found out that it's better to eat food and water separately, as having liquids like water in the stomach before, during or right after eating dilutes the digestive enzymes (you should get plenty of fluids from the food you eat or put through the juicer, anyways), therefore making the digestive process longer, allowing fermentation, and so a bit more of a burden. I resume drinking 16 ounces of purified room temperature water with non-chlorinated, organic bags of green, white and yerba mate teas soaking in it, over the next couple of hours. An hour before bed/an hour AFTER my berry nice dinner, I drink however much water satisfies me. -Tiffany Tommie <jerushy wrote: Is the quart of water what you drink for the day or do you drink more water off and on? Guest guest
Tiffany, interesting.. never would have known about drinking water with food. I will have to work on that, seriously. Though, this morning i did try the 4 glasses of water first thing in the morning, easy to get down. But i was sooo nausious afterwards!!! Is this toxins, or just too much water?? I will try it again tomorrow, and see how it goes.
Guest guest
Hi Kelly, Now that you reminded me, yes I did get nauseated after the first couple of times. Being that the nausea occurs right after drinking it, I don't think it would be the toxins because they wouldn't have time to 'come out' yet. I don't know what it could be; perhaps it takes some getting used to. The second morning after I drank the quart of water I was less nauseated, but I went back to bed and was able to sleep it off for 20 minutes. The third morning I squeezed more lemon juice into the water and instead of drinking it all at once, I drank six gulps at a time over a 15 minute period. That stopped me from feeling nauseated! A couple weeks ago I was in a hurry to get out the door so I gulped it all down within a few minutes and the nausea came back again, but to a much lesser degree than the first couple of times. So try drinking purified water (not mineral water, though), with enough lemon juice, four to six gulps at a time over a period of 20 minutes. I hope this helps! -Tiffany Lohr Kelly Willhauck <spunky wrote: Tiffany, interesting.. never would have known about drinking water with food. I will have to work on that, seriously. Guest guest
Try taking an antacid and drinking the water a little more slowly. - Tiffany rawfood Friday, May 19, 2006 11:33 AM Re: [Raw Food] Re: water therapy Hi Kelly, Now that you reminded me, yes I did get nauseated after the first couple of times. I do try to drink a lot in the morning, but I also drink all through the day. i also do lots of fiber, via flax sees (also get Omega 3s that way!), either ground, on salads; ground in shakes, or ground in crackers -- I eat about 6-8 " whole food " raw crackers, all of which have a flax seed base. margaret
Guest guest
I drink water in the morning (16 ounces) and use it throughout the day as an ingredient if necessary but I don't know about " working " to drink it. If it's work, that seems a little much. Everything I eat except for the occasional nuts and seeds is all juicy. As much as I have to run to the bathroom, I don't need to add to the problem. As for Omega 3, here's a partial quote from Doug Graham, posted on his forum the other day: " Fat is fat, no matter what you call it. Omega-3 and omega-6 sound like scientific terms, and hardly " fatty " at all, but still we are just talking about fat. " Thought that was interesting.
