To the 100 % raw eaters how is your fitness lifestyle? Does anyone lift weight

as a raw foodist. My goal is to become a personal trainer and to compete in the

fitness/figure competition. Does anyone know of any raw eaters that are

currently competing, or lift weights.

I saw someone who was a vegan bodybuilder. I am curious to find someone who is

Raw doing this.

Thanks

Michele

Michelle, have you seen GardenDiet.com? I believe Storm does weight

training. I'm thinking there is another site where the guy professes to

be a weight trainer as well and is on raw.

Thanks to all who replied to me. When I get home tonight I am going to

do more research and check out the sites you guys recommended.

I really don't want to give up my long term goal to compete and become

a personal trainer. This is what I aspired to do before I started eating

raw.

I am just tired of people telling me I need meat protein to lean out. I

guess I'm going to have to prove them wrong.

Thanks a bunch

Michele

Hi, Michele. When I was in high school, I could out-do all the other

girls in the strength and endurance categories. I wasn't much for

running but watch out for the rest! I have been a vegetarian all my

life and, until I let myself get out of shape, I was very lean and

muscular. Now I'm trying to get back that way at the ripe old age of

62. I know I'll never make it, fully, but I'm going to do what I can.

I've lost more than 50 pounds and feel wonderful. I've been eating 100%

raw for almost 11 months now. I believe, especially since you have a

great deal of determination, that you can do it!

Hi Michele,

I lift weights just to maintain my muscle mass. I don't do it to compete or

anything like that. I'll will be 70 and I think it's very important to keep up

a good exercise program to maintain one's body strength. I lift weights 3X a

week and do various other exercises to try and maintain a well rounded workout.

I am 5' 9 " and thin so lifting the weights gives me some contour, and helps me

maintain the muscle mass that we tend to lose as we get older. Happy weight

lifting!
