Guest guest
Hi Daniel & Shari, Shari - an even funnier story about Ziggy and your family thinking about trying Durian! I just wished they would have at least tasted a teaspoon-sized bite! Oh, well. At least they've saved themselves the addiction to an expensive habit! Daniel - Thanks for the link! I haven't been able to find an online store that sold unfrozen, pure durian before you. But $70?! OUCH! How long would the flesh keep in the refridgerator after receiving it second day? Thanks again, Tiffany Lohr Daniel Duke <danielrduke wrote: The smell is different. I don't find it bad, or disagreeable. Even when I was first introduced to it. Most durians are frozen when they are shipped here, but there is a site that sells them and ships them fresh. http://puretropicalfoods.com/catalog/index.php I think Durian taste best chilled and I usually blend young coconut water and the meat in with it making a nice yummy pudding. Durian grows on ya! I love it! Daniel http://www.myspace.com/danielinthelionsden http://blog.myspace.com/danielinthelionsden -In rawfood , Tiffany <bluelairess wrote: Thanks for sharing! QUESTION: Is the smell so bad that one would have to force him/herself to eat it at first, like while plugging the nose? If it's so noxious, isn't that nature's way of telling us to stay away? Guest guest
You are welcome--Tiffany! Yes, they are pretty pricey, and I have yet to try one from that site. Right now I can't afford the $70 dollars. They sound awesome though! I have no idea how long they would keep in the fridge. But if I bought one I'd share it with a friend or two. So there'd be nothing left to save. lol rawfood , Tiffany <bluelairess wrote: > Daniel - Thanks for the link! I haven't been able to find an online store that sold unfrozen, pure durian before you.
