I'm a little bit confused about eating grapes being a fast...isn't

that more of a " diet " ?

to many people fasting is just sticking to one food. I know that it is still a

diet since I am not abstaining from food and still consuming calories. But I

thought more people would be familiar with the term grape " fast " . But yeah I

would like some info on anyone who has been on a grape diet/ fast in other words

only having grapes and water. Supposedly grapes are great as an intestinal

cleanser and liver cleanser. not as strong of a cleanser as apples are but I

feel for my body I need something more gentle than an apple " fast " .

Jon,

You are right. Using the word grape fast is a common way to describe

the type of fast you are going on. Although it may be " dictionary

correct " that to fast is to abstain from food, maybe even water if you

want to get really technical, the use of the word fast preceded by the

a word to describe the type of fast has become so common that people

even say water fast if they are only going to drink water.
