Guest guest
One more month and it will be a whole year that I have been eating 100% raw! Except for that meal of lentils and a boiled potato that about did me in...Anyway, I'll concentrate on the other 1319 or so meals that I've had that weren't cooked. Guest guest
Tommie, That is incredible and I am so excited for you! A year is significant mile stone, and an inspiration to those of us at the beginning of our journey! Since you have a month to think about it, I think you should treat yourself to some thing special. Maybe a 1/2 massage or some thing that you wouldn't do normally. Leah Tommie <jerushy wrote: One more month and it will be a whole year that I have been eating 100% raw! Guest guest
I'll have to think about that, Leah, and come up with something really neat to do or eat or _something_. At least out of the ordinary...June 24 is Roger's birthday so we'll probably talk and wish each other well. Which I have been. Have any " bugs " been going around out there? Seems like there are lots of viruses (or would that be virii?) that have ignored me. Guest guest
Tommie, The usual bugs have been going around here. The most talked about is that we have had a large number of people come down with the mumps. Overall, excluding the occasional detox symptoms that I complain about, I am have been so much healthier this spring. So many of my co workers are walking around with cold and allergy issues, and I have none. ;-) I would assume you see alot of bugs working in a hospital. I think its very sad to see people miserable and its worse to me that the misery is by their own choice! I write that thinking of my mother. Her health is on a steady decline and she is fairly young. (53) She had a mild heart attack 6 -8 weeks ago and absolutely refuses to make changes to her diet. I told her that if she didn't want to take the advice from me, that she should atleast read Dean Ornish's book on heart diseases and diet. Sorry, I got a little off track there, and bordered on the soap box! I look forward to next winter and the cold and flu season to see just how big of a difference a raw life style is making. Maybe I will take the money from all those stinking co-pays and get a massage for me!! Kindest Regards, Leah Tommie <jerushy wrote: I'll have to think about that, Leah, and come up with something really neat to do or eat or _something_. Guest guest
I've been afraid to say anything, but I haven't had a sinus infection this year. First in I don't know how long. Allergies _seem_ to be a thing of the past. The only time I have been sick is when I threw up after eating some watermelon that, I think, wasn't good. Dunno for sure. I didn't go to the doctor so he could give me his best guess. I want to stay as far away from doctors and hospitals as I can once I retire. I've been through the cold and flu season without a hitch. And I didn't get the flu shot this year. That's terrible about your mother! That could have been me a year ago. I was shopping with my daughter and started having chest pain. I didn't tell her what was going on but just said that we needed to go back to the apartment. Problem was, we were in Manhattan and her apartment is in Astoria. We made it and I'm still alive. I do wish your mother would listen to you. I can't talk, though. It took me a year and a half to decide to try raw foods.
