Yeasted Waffles

1/2 teaspoon rapid-rise yeast

2 cups unbleached white flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

2 cups milk

1/4 cup melted butter

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

 

In a large bowl, mix together the yeast, flour, and salt. In a separate bowl,

beat the eggs, and mix in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Pour the wet

mixture into the dry ingredients and stir just to combine.

 

Cover the batter and set it aside at room temperature to rise for 1 1/2 hours.

Set the table and get ready for fun eating.

 

Preheat the waffle iron. Use 1/3 cup of batter for each waffle, and bake

according to the directions that came with your waffle iron.
