According to Naomi's book, this recipe has been served for years in the Judd household - for special occasions. ~ Brenda * Exported from MasterCook * Waldorf Salad (Naomi Judd's) Recipe By :Naomi's Home Companion, Naomi Judd (1997) Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Fruit Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Dressing: 1/2 cup mayonnaise 4 ounces nondairy whipped topping -- thawed Salad: 4 Granny Smith apple -- cored and diced OR Delicious apples sprinkle with fresh lemon juice to prevent darkening 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup diced celery 1/2 cup walnuts -- chopped lettuce leaves cinnamon -- for garnish Make the dressing: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and whipped topping. Make the salad: In a large bowl, mix apples, raisins, celery, and walnuts. Fold in dressing. Refrigerate until well chilled. Serve on lettuce.
