Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone has a great sundried tomato spread recipe that they could share. I am looking for one without cheese or a cheese substitute because I just love the full flavor of the tomatos. I really love the Bruggers Bagels sundried tomato spread (if you haven't tried it it's a must!!!) and was hoping that someone has a recipe that is very similar to that. Thank you in advance!!! I usually buy pesto and add stuff to it. but this one was okay. * Exported from MasterCook * Roasted Red Pepper and Sun Dried Tomato Spread Recipe By :North American Olive Oil Assn Serving Size : 10 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Appetizers Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup roasted red peppers -- fresh or bottled 3 tablespoons olive oil 1 clove garlic -- smashed 8 medium fresh basil leaves -- thinly sliced red pepper flakes 1 cup soft sun-dried tomatoes Place all ingredients in bowl of food processor. Guest guest
I have no idea whether steak sauce is vegetarian, but I'm assuming so. I don't buy it so I can't check the label. kathleen At 07:34 PM 5/5/02 -0400, allice98 wrote: >I was wondering if anyone has a great sundried tomato spread recipe that they >could share. * Exported from MasterCook * Sundried Tomato Spread Recipe By : http://www.recipehound.com/Recipes/0104.html Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 5/8 cup sundried tomatoes -- reconstituted 5/8 cup olive oil 2 3/4 cups A.1. Here is a creamy version. Lucky you to have a Brueggers in your neighborhood. When I lived in the city there was one a half mile away; now the nearest is 100 miles. kathleen * Exported from MasterCook * Sundried Tomato Spread (Creamy) Recipe By : Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 5 Oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes -- chopped 8 ounces Cream cheese -- softened 1 tablespoon Sundried tomato paste 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper Whip together chopped dried tomatoes, softened cream cheese, sundried tomato paste and cayenne pepper. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
