Fried Rice

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/2 cup water

1/4 teaspoon minced garlic

1/4 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

6 cups mixed chopped vegetables

such as scallion - carrot - broccoli

or bean sprouts - zucchini,

3 cups cooked brown rice

1/4 cup soy sauce -- low sodium

 

SERVINGS: 6. PREPARATION TIME: 15 minutes (need cooked rice). COOKING

TIME: 15 minutes.

 

Place the water, garlic, and ginger in a large pot or wok.

 

Heat to boiling. Add all the vegetables and cook, stirring frequently,

until the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 10 minutes. Add the cooked

rice and soy sauce. Mix well and heat through before serving.
