Buttermilk Cucumbers

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 cucumbers

1 tablespoon salt

1/2 cup milk

2 tablespoons white vinegar

 

Wash cucumbers, then score lengthwise with a fork. Thinly slice crosswise.

Place in a large bowl and cover with cold water; stir in salt. Cover and

refrigerate over-night. Drain. Mix milk and vinegar and pour over cucumber

slices. Transport to picnic in a glass jar with a lid. Makes 8 servings.
