Guest guest Posted June 16, 2002 Report Share Posted June 16, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Buttermilk Cucumbers Recipe By :Seattle Picnics by Barbara Holz Sullivan, 1991 Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Cucumbers Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cucumbers 1 tablespoon salt 1/2 cup milk 2 tablespoons white vinegar Wash cucumbers, then score lengthwise with a fork. Thinly slice crosswise. Place in a large bowl and cover with cold water; stir in salt. Cover and refrigerate over-night. Drain. Mix milk and vinegar and pour over cucumber slices. Transport to picnic in a glass jar with a lid. Makes 8 servings.
