Italian Sausage & Grilled Peppers

2 bell peppers -- (red, green or yellow), cut into strips

1 small onion -- sliced

1/4 cup Italian dressing

1 10 oz package frozen Boca Italian sausages

4 hot dog buns or french rolls -- split

 

PLACE peppers, onion and dressing in heavy-duty foil bag or foil pouch. Heat on

grill 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender, turning bag occasionally.

 

GRILL sausage as directed on package.

 

PLACE grilled sausage in buns; top with pepper mixture. Makes 4 servings.

 

Quick Tip: Peppers, onion and dressing can be also be heated in a skillet, on

medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

 

2-4 servings.

1 10 oz package frozen Boca smoked sausages or bratwurst

1/2 cup sweet pickle relish

1 4 oz can chopped green chiles -- drained

2 tablespoons chopped onion

2 tablespoons yellow mustard

1 tomato -- sliced (optional)

4 hot dog buns

 

HEAT sausage as directed on package.

 

MIX relish, chilies, onion and mustard. Place heated sausage in buns; top with

tomato slices and relish mixture. Makes about 1-1/4 cups topping.

 

Tip: Topping can be made a day ahead. Refrigerate until ready to use.
