Mushroom Pizza

3 cups sliced fresh mushrooms -- (about 8 ounces)

2 tablespoons finely chopped onion

1 small garlic clove -- minced

3 tablespoons liquefied Butter Buds mix

1/2 cup basic marinara sauce

Bread Dough Pizza Crusts -- (8 crusts)

1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese -- (4 ounces)

dried basil and oregano -- crumbled

 

Preheat the oven to 450F.

 

In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook the mushrooms, onion, and garlic in

Butter Buds 5 to 7 minutes, or until softened and most of the liquid has

evaporated-, remove from the heat. Spread about 1 tablespoon Basic Marinara

Sauce on each prepared crust. Spoon equal amounts of mushroom mixture on each

crust. Top each pizza with about 2 tablespoons cheese and sprinkle with basil

and oregano. Return to the oven and bake 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is

golden.

Bread Dough Pizza Crusts

1 loaf frozen white bread dough -- (16 ounces)

1 tablespoon cornmeal

2 tablespoons liquefied Butter Buds mix

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt-free garlic-and-herb seasoning blend

 

Thaw the bread dough. On a lightly floured surface, divide the dough into 8

pieces. Cover; let the dough rest for 10 minutes.

 

Spray 2 cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray; sprinkle with cornmeal. Using

your hands, flatten each piece of dough into a 6inch circle; place on the

prepared pans.

 

Preheat the oven to 425F.

 

In a small dish, combine the Butter Buds, oil, and seasoning blend.

 

Brush the mixture on the dough rounds. Bake 7 minutes. Remove the pans to wire

racks to cool.
