Guest guest Posted August 1, 2002 Report Share Posted August 1, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Mom's Sweet Potato Bread Recipe By : Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 1/2 C Sugar 1 stick butter (not oleo) 3 eggs 1 lb canned sweet potatoes 2 C flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. allspice 1 tsp. cinnamon Preheat your oven to 350°. Combine the sugar and the butter in a bowl. Beat thoroughly with a mixer. Add eggs and sweet potatoes to sugar mixture and beat well. Add dry ingredients, mixing as you go. Pour the batter into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake 45 - 55 minutes.
