Guest guest Posted August 15, 2002 Report Share Posted August 15, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Broccoli Slaw Recipe By : Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 head broccoli -- (approximately 1 1/2 pounds) 1 head cauliflower 1 cup shredded soy cheddar cheese 3/4 cup soy mayonnaise 1 1/4 teaspoons flax oil 1 tablespoon soymilk 1 tablespoon water 1 tablespoon maple syrup 2 tablespoons soy bacon bits -- (optional) This is the perfect combination to fill any roll- up style sandwich, be it a tortilla, pita, or chapati. Finely chop the broccoli flowers. Peel the stems and chop up finely. Finely chop the cauliflower and some of its stems. Add together in a large mixing bowl. Add the soy cheddar cheese to the vegetable mixture, and stir gently. To make a dressing, mix together the mayonnaise, flax oil, soymilk, water, and maple syrup in a small mixing bowl. Add the dressing to [he vegetable mixture, and mix until well blended. Chill. Top with soy bacon bits, if desired, and serve.
