Guest guest Posted September 2, 2002 Report Share Posted September 2, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Fresh Pear Salad with Asian Sesame Dressing Recipe By :Adelyne Smith, Dunnville, Kentucky Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups shredded red cabbage 2 cups shredded romaine lettuce 3 red Bartlett pears -- sliced 2 medium carrots -- shredded (about 1 cup) 1 green onion -- chopped 2 teaspoons sesame seeds -- (optional) toasted ASIAN SESAME DRESSING: 1/4 cup white wine vinegar PLUS 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar 1 tablespoon soy sauce 2 teaspoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil 1/4 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper Toss together first 5 ingredients in a large bowl, and drizzle with Asian Sesame Dressing, tossing gently to coat. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired. Serve immediately. Asian Sesame Dressing: Whisk together all ingredients.
