A Vegan Recipe

 

Chickpeas & Rice by Olga

 

Pour the following into a one quart glass jar/cover with lid and shake:

 

1 tsp. basil

1 tsp. dried parsley leaves

1/4 tsp cumin

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

1 1/2 tsp. chicken style seasoning

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp. oregano

pinch of sage

1 cup brown rice

 

Use a non-stick spray on a casserole dish (with cover) and then pour this

mixture into the baking dish. Add 2 cups boiling water and one can chick peas

(garbanzo beans) and stir. Add a little Bragg's liquid aminos to taste and tehn

bake this covered in the oven at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Easy and

delicious. Serve with your favorite blend of steamed vegetables for a complete

meal.

 

Tip: make up portions of dry ingredients ahead of time and store them in baggies

or in a pretty jar and share them with friends.
