French Fried Mushrooms

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 1/2 Pounds Mushrooms

1/4 Cup Flour

2 Cups Vegetable Oil

Salt

Freshly Ground Black Pepper

 

Wash and thoroughly dry the mushrooms.

 

Cut in 1/2-inch slices,stems and all; toss with the flour.

 

Heat the oil to 375°; fry the mushrooms 2 minutes.

 

Drain well; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
