Guest guest Posted June 13, 2003 Report Share Posted June 13, 2003 As promised, here comes my humble collection of original recipes. :-) I'll just post this one first - please let me know if there are any formatting hassles ( groups sometimes messes it up.) - Kate * Exported from MasterCook * Mocha Bread Pudding Recipe By : Kate Orman Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Bread pudding Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 eggs 2 Tbsp sugar 2 1/4 cups milk 1 tsp instant coffee 2 tsp cocoa 2 slices bread -- sliced into thirds 5 drops rum extract -- optional Cut the bread into thirds, and layer these fingers in a casserole dish. Beat the eggs and sugar together. Add the milk, cocoa, coffee, and rum essence and mix well. Pour this mixture through a strainer over the bread. Bake at 180 degrees C (350 degrees F) for 30 minutes, until the custard sets. Allow to stand 5 minutes before serving. This is nice hot or cold. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Per Serving (excluding unknown items): 708 Calories; 29g Fat (37.1% calories from fat); 34g Protein; 78g Carbohydrate; 2g Dietary Fiber; 449mg Cholesterol; 650mg Sodium.
