Guest guest
VEGGIE BURGER MIX 1/2 C Dry Black eyed peas 1/2 C Dry soybeans 1/2 C Dry lentils 1/2 C Yellow split peas 1/2 C Instant brown rice 1/2 C Rolled oats !/2 C Dry- roasted peanuts 1 pkg Dry soup mix or Salad dressing mix 1/4 C Ground flax seed 1/4 Cornmeal Put the ingredients one by one in a blender. Turn on the blender. When everything is reduced to powder, combine in a container. To use, mix 1 cup of the mix with 2/3 C HOT water (I usually boil the water) or combination of water & BBQ sauce, water & wine, or whatever other liquid you can think of. I like to use Bragg's Aminos as part of the liquid. Let it sit 15 minutes, then form into 3 patties. Fry in oil of your choice, or use a spray-on non-stick pan coating. NOTE: If you use BBQ sauce the burgers will brown faster -- probably because of the sugars. This recipe makes 4 cups of dry mix. The variations for this are endless, as you can use different dry mixes. Good Seasons make fat free dry salad dressing mixes, and there are lots of different flavors of soup mix. You could use the dry seasoning mixes, like the taco seasoning, etc. Get creative.
