Fresh Ginger Ale

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 1/2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

3/4 cup carbonated water

such as sparkling water or club soda

1 teaspoons fresh lime juice (optional) -- (1 to 2)

 

1. Place the ginger in a small piece of cheesecloth. Squeeze the ginger juice

through the cheesecloth into a glass. Discard the ginger, reserving the juice.

 

2. Add the remaining ingredients. Stir and serve.

and add the juice of half a lemon.
