Guest guest Posted October 21, 2003 Report Share Posted October 21, 2003 * Exported from MasterCook * Creamy Oven Potatoes Recipe By :Best of the Best From Pennsylvania Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 potatoes 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 onion 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley 2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons flour 1 cup milk 3/4 cup bread crumbs Pare and dice potatoes into 1/2-inch cubes. Gently boil potatoes 10 minutes in 1 cup boiling water. Add salt. Chop onion and cut parsley. Make white sauce as follows: Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Add flour and milk, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and begins to boil. Place potatoes, parsley, and onion in greased casserole. Pour sauce over all. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top. Bake 35-40 minutes in 350F oven.
