Mashed Potato Filling (can crockpot this)

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 cup celery

1 medium onion -- minced

1 cup butter

2 packages bread cubes

6 eggs -- beaten

1 quart milk

1 quart mashed potatoes

3 teaspoons salt

2 pinches saffron

- in 1 cup boiling water

1 teaspoon pepper

 

Cook celery and onion in butter about 15 minutes. Pour over bread cubes and mix.

Add the rest of ingredients, mixing between each. Be sure the finished product

is very moist; add more milk if necessary. Put in greased casserole dish. Bake

at 300F for 45 minutes or longer. Also delicious in crock pot. Cook 3 hours on

high. You can also freeze half and make later.
