Guest guest
Hi Sam, You might try some Garden (Boca) Burgers, or other meat substitute, when you're really craving meat. Crumbled TVP almost passes for meat in a spicy Cajun-style red beans and rice. Another approach might be having veggies with a " meaty " texture. A portobello mushroom grilled over coals makes a great hamburger patty. Black bean and rice burrito with salsa. A plate of simple marinara with chunky tomatoes and al dente linguine. I'm an ex-vegetarian who married a meat eater, and my diet went his way for several years. Now I'm getting us back on track and serving meatless meals more and more days per week. He's not missing the meat nearly as much as I'd expected. Good luck! Renée -- Brain cells come and brain cells go, but fat cells live forever.
