Guest guest
I saw a bottled water at the grocery store called Smart Water and it said it restores electrolyte balance. kmdaven <kmdaven wrote: Hi, Can anyone help me with foods for correcting an electrolyte imbalance without resorting to yucky things like, say, Gatorade? Blech. I am also interested in foods that are nourishing for the adrenal system. I wonder if there is a out there that specifically deals in nutritional approaches to health issues like this? Does anyone know? Kristen
Guest guest
http://www.vegetarianbaby.com/products/coconutoil.shtml I've read that coconut water is the best natural electrolyte source there is. I did a search for " electrolyte " and " coconut " and came up with tons of pages,... but, the above link is a good one. Guest guest
My yoga school sells Smart Water, but I do not like it because a) I don't know how they have stuffed electrolytes into the water, and b) I do not like one of the owners, a rapper who has been involved in all sorts of things I do not condone or support. Guest guest
I thought coconut water was supposed to electrolyte-ly charged? (Or however I should say that!) I know that I read that somewhere as well as information stating that it was very similar in composition to blood plasma. Have you checked that out as an alternative? rawfood , stacey boren <springsilvermoon wrote: > > I had no idea!!!! Guest guest
i dont drink it any longer either it gives me heart burn and the coloring that is added to the water is questionable. --- rawfood <terri_rossi wrote: > I thought coconut water was supposed to electrolyte-ly charged? Guest guest
Drink the coconut water out of the young, white coconuts. That is the #1 best electrolyte replacer. DO NOT buy your coconut water in anything but the original container - the coconut. Everything else is processed (i.e. cooked). My son was 18 years old and he did a 210 mile bike ride in one day (Seattle to Portland) and all he ate was bananas and drank coconut water. He faired much better than his buddy drinking the colored crap and eating the powerless bars. Shari
