Curing a “permanent” sinus infection???

About a month ago my naturopath said I had a " permanent " sinus

infection. I exclaimed " PERMANENT! " But then he said it doesn't have

to stay " permanent. " So why the hell did he scare me with that word?

I think the word " chronic " would have sufficed! Anyway, I figure I

have had this thing for most of my life, so I figure over 30 years. I

used to think of the problems only as allergies, which I also have. I

have been doing liver cleanses and that has helped my allergies and

in conjunction my sinus infection. And then going raw helped even

more (4 months now). I am much less congested and such. This was all

before I saw the naturopath. So now I see my " allergies " also as a

sinus infection and to fight bacteria too. So with having it for so

long, I figure it'll take time to cure myself, but I wonder if I'm

doing enough and how much time will it take? How much time do you

guys think it will take??? I know, I know each person is different!

But can you guys give me some ballpark guesses please?

In the last month, I ordered Neti (saline nasal irrigation) and have

been using it for a few weeks now. The naturopath gave me herbs for

fighting bacteria and fungus. The fungus herbs are mostly for my

itchy ear, I think. I'm running out and can't afford those herbs but

may get some cheaper ones at the store, any suggestions? I am

consuming cayenne to keep the congestion clear. I'm taking grapefruit

seed extract. I have increased my garlic intake. On good days I

consume 2 large cloves 3 times a day equaling 6 cloves a day,

sometimes only 4, on real bad days none. So of course I can improve

that. But is there anything else I can do or take to CURE this sinus

infection FOR GOOD????????

Thanks for any help! :-)

I have a friend who has been raw for about 4 years, and his chronic

sinus infections are the only thing that have hung around :( He has

what he calls sinus attacks every three weeks or so, like clockwork.

The good news is that they only last about a day now instead of

weeks.

I think a neti pot is one of the best ways to stave off sinus

trouble - getting the environmental pollutants out is as important as

a healthy diet, imho. Let us know how it works for you!
