Guest guest
I'd like to try one but think I will do it at home on the picnic table. " chemical warfare " - your too funny, Shari. Louise <1l. Re: durians Posted by: " SV " shavig shavig Sun Jun 18, 2006 8:19 pm (PDT) Yep, the people on the subway were giving me very strange looks. I was alone and went to a park to sit and eat it. Several folks were eyeballing me and I offered them a taste with no takers. Finally one girl said " sure " and her father thought she was nuts. After the bite I asked her (she was in her 20's) what she thought. She said, " don't know I have allergies and I'm all stuffy and can't smell or taste a thing " !!! That's one reason I've never tried to drive to Canada and bring one back in the car. They would probably think it was some sort of chemical warfare device. Shari> More lol. Can't wait to smell it after that... my favorite smell! Mujch less taste it. I know papaya smells bad sometimes when ripe but this must be something! Louise <I always describe it as rotting garlic growing over a sewer. Ummm, yummy. Shari>
