Guest guest
Oh, my goodness, please don't believe what your employer tells you just because they are your employer. Consider what you are actually saying here. Apply an abrasive to " clean " , aka polish, your teeth. By definition, " polish " means to wear something down until it is smooth. That is not a favorable outcome for our teeth! If we eat high water-content foods, we simply don't need this stuff. And it is harmful, over time. You can use this material to clean the grease off the floor of an auto repair shop. Such is the nature of your " mild abrasive " . And baking soda is very salty, whereas no amount of salt (NaCl) is good for us. I once visited a dentist, the last time I ever went to one. And I exercised great care to select an extraordinarily good dentist, by various standards I determined for myself. He examined my teeth and mouth and gave a " thumbs-up " , then asked whether I would like an appointment " just to have them cleaned. " I did not respond verbally immediately, but I must have grimaced slightly, for he next said, " Oh, I see, you want to keep your tooth enamel! " and flashed a very big smile. He understood ... ANY polishing process is a wearing down process, by definition. Brush gently with something soft, okay. Polish, never. I am a rep for organic products, and our toothpastes contain baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), which is a mild, natural abrasive used for cleansing and whitening. It is gentle, and not harmful! -- Kassia Fiedor 510.882.4703 miessence Certified Organic Skin Care, Hair Care, Health Care & Cosmetic Products *www.GreenLifeOrganics.com* " Food for your skin, literally! Guest guest
So how do you clean your teeth? Kristi On Jul 14, 2006, at 10:02 AM, INFO @ Vibrant Life wrote: > Brush gently with something soft, okay. Polish, never.
Guest guest
Brush gently, in a small circular motion with a soft brush. Start with the brush dry, works more effectively that way, in my experience. Brush patiently, allow time for this to work. 2-3 minutes total brushing time is " normal " . I suggest that we not use force against ourselves, in brushing or in anything. For how can we ever share sustainable kindness to others when we will not give it to ourselves? Force is force, wherever applied and regardless of the rationale for using the force. But for me, the only reason to use force is to avoid catastrophe, as yanking a child from in front of a moving automobile. I realize that I am interweaving religion/spirituality and health, and I do this because I am one creature, not merely a collection of components. Eat better and better, then you'll have little or nothing to brush. Then the brushing time will diminish. Guest guest
Thanks! I often brush with nothing other than the brush, myself.
