Guest guest
This is probably answered all over elsewhere, but since no one else has said anything yet: 811rv is 80-10-10 raw vegan. 80% of your calories come from carbs, 10% from protein, 10% from fat. If you eat exclusively raw vegan foods like fruits and vegetables, these are the ratios you'll naturally be consuming anyway, so you don't really have to work to count anything--except that you obviously have to limit your fat intake, like avocados, coconut, or nuts/seeds... though nuts and seeds are excluded from stricter regimes, anyway. I'm sure there's a lot a web search could come up with if you were inclined to read more, and Tommie's got a exclusively for it. And you can look up Dr. Graham, too, as he's a big proponent of it. Guest guest
Good evening, Hinarera! 811rv is a term that stands for raw vegan 80% carbs, 10% fat, and 10% protein lifestyle. It incorporates much more than diet. It includes fresh air, sunshine, exercise, and mental clarity. It's a program that's well suited to someone who wants to be a longterm raw foodist. There are clear guidelines regarding optimal foods that help, rather than hinder, the transition from cooked to raw. If I had not found it when I did, I doubt that I could have stayed raw. Prior to that, I had raging cravings that threatened to make me " fall off the wagon. " I have created a forum, not to take the place of any other, but to have a focus on 811rv. Come over and check it out. If you like what you see, join us! http://snipurl.com/skbr We're new but we're growing! Guest guest
Nice, couple of edits. 80/10/10 means MINIMUM of 80% of calories from carbs, MAXIMUM of 10% each from proteins and fats. Fruits and greens, when Doug says veggies, in his mind that means tender greens, not broccoli, cauliflower, etc. And Doug is not a proponent of this idea, he is its author.
