Guest guest
I no longer drink soy milk because I noticed it immediately caused " that feeling " in my thyroid area. Of course, I'm extremely sensitive and " body aware " and not everyone notices a problem food immediately. For some it may take hours or even days. However, soy milk will not necessarily create a thyroid problem. Though, it WILL cause problems with a person who has a propensity to thyroid issues (those of us with a family history of thyroid problems, or who have had rounds of certain drugs in the past - such as prednisone or sulfa drugs, to name a couple of culprits) and will exacerbate a problem if one already exists. Too much soy, in even a healthy person, CAN slow down thyroid activity... but, note that this is " too much " and that will differ for each person. Soy is neither the great demon nor the great cure-all. But, those of us with thyroid issues AND those of us who are raw should simply avoid it.
