Guest guest
Hi again Debbie, In many respects, the best resource I know of about systemic Lupus and rheumatoid arthritis is Jill Harrington, http://www.lupusrecoverydiet.com/. Though Jill is no longer 100% raw today, a raw diet has played a central role in her remaining symptom-free, pain-free, and drug-free for more than a decade now. Buy her book and read it. In addition to sharing her own experience, in the book Jill offers stories from others who have also transcended the awful pain and limitations of Lupus. At the very least, the book will give you a clear sense of possibility, that the Lupus can simply disappear forever. And it is with such a sense of possibility that the recovery itself comes within reach. Meanwhile, my understanding is that Jill really conquered her symptoms during a pair of fasts more than a decade ago. I strongly recommend fasting at least once for 2-3 weeks in these circumstances. The body really will restore its own natural balance, and the symptoms will vanish. One note of caution: This is a one-way ticket. Once the symptoms vanish, if one returns to the " old ways, " the symptoms will reappear quickly and with a vengeance. It is very important, therefore, that one deal with whatever emotional issues may be associated with the Lupus. There are reasons why we construct such misery for ourselves; the physical components provide the means, but they do not comprise the motivation. From my own personal observation, intense, anger, often expressed only by " passive-aggressive " means, often sits in the background behind the so-called autoimmune diseases. This actually offers us a reasonable explanation as to why the body would seemingly " turn against itself " . It is because, at least subconsciously, the person has already turned against him- or herself long before. The body is merely following the mind's lead. Our anger is almost always misplaced. For really, we are angry at ourselves. Accepting and embracing one's anger at oneself is one of the most significant paradigm shifts available in the transformation to outrageous health. For this shift opens the way to resolve whatever lies underneath the anger -- pain, sadness, loss, sense of powerlessness. Very few approaches to " emotional " or " energy " work address subconscious issues with precision and clarity. And this happens to be an area where I've done a great deal of successful work. I am happy to spend some time with you to explore whatever constructs may underlie the Lupus. If this interests you, I invite you to write to me privately at Elchanan.
