Guest guest
Hello, I am Julie and I am wanting to 'go vegan' but find it v. daunting as I donot want to eat soya and am intolerant to gluten and corn, aswell as being insulin resistant - so I feel like I'm floundering rather at the moment. I am going to take some time and look back in the archives which I am sure will help me a lot. I am in the U.K. with my husband and five children, 2 dogs and about 20 cockatiels [some of which are tame]and use organic personal and homecare products, and holistic therapies wherever I can instead of allopathic; I do dowsing and reiki and use homeopathy also and am learning muscle tesating and eft also. I am anti-vaccine and have vaccine damaged children and a dog who is going through a massive chemical detox at the moment - poor love - but doing well supported by homeopathy. I care very much about animal welfare. I was vegetarian, almost vegan for 14 yrs, but found I was always rundown even though I mixed protein sources etc. so am a bit concerned about that. That's enough of a novel for now! cheers Julie )
Guest guest
Hi Julie, I am vegan and don't eat much soy (soya) because I have to care for my thyroid. I also suspect I have a gluten sensitivity, so I try to avoid breads, pastas, etc. made with it. There are tons and tons of recipes that skirt those two ingredients, and here, of course, you're going to find a ton more that are raw and scrumptious. Check out one of our most creative member's web site: htttp://mawintheraw.blogspot.com for some fantastic raw recipes with spectacular pictures and details! I'm interested in the homeopathy you use to treat your dog for vaccines. Our dog was recently (in March) diagnosed with osteosarcoma and had her leg amputated to remove the tumor. We were told she would have three to six months, post diagnosis. I am firmly convinced that the seeming cancer epidemic among dogs is due, in part or in whole, to the yearly vaccines that are required by law here. I'd love to learn more about this treatment to remove toxins injected with the vaccines... if not for my Israel and other animals, then for future fur-kids. (ie... if it's too late to help our current kids... at least I'll have the knowledge for the future. I've read of many parents blaming vaccines for causing autism in their children, and those who had knowledge of and used homeopathy to counter the vaccines had some reversal of the condition.) That's a long welcome from a usually quiet member! hahaha Suzy On 7/20/06, Julie <metamorph689 wrote: > > Hello, > I am Julie and I am wanting to 'go vegan' but find it v. > daunting as I donot want to eat soya and am intolerant to gluten and > corn, aswell as being insulin resistant - so I feel like I'm > floundering rather at the moment. > I am going to take some time and look back in the archives which I > am sure will help me a lot. > I am in the U.K. with my husband and five children, 2 dogs and about > 20 cockatiels [some of which are tame]and use organic personal and > homecare products, and holistic therapies wherever I can instead of > allopathic; I do dowsing and reiki and use homeopathy also and am > learning muscle tesating and eft also. > I am anti-vaccine and have vaccine damaged children and a dog who is > going through a massive chemical detox at the moment - poor love - > but doing well supported by homeopathy. > I care very much about animal welfare. > I was vegetarian, almost vegan for 14 yrs, but found I was always > rundown even though I mixed protein sources etc. so am a bit > concerned about that. > > That's enough of a novel for now! > cheers > Julie ) > > >
