If you have thyroid issues, may I recommend Herb Pharm's Nettle/ Bladderwrack herbal extract compound. I had a serious weight issue, but, most disturbingly, I had a " cosmetic " issue with a bulge at the base of my neck (i.e., the thyroid). Being a nutritionist, I also had an issue with having a thyroid issue - I mean, what kind of nutritionist would I be if I couldn't use what I know to fix what I know can be fixed? I used @50 drops of the nettle/bladderwrack compound twice daily for about 6 months. Not only did my neck get much thinner, but I had an almost effortless weight loss (100 lbs. over the course of a year). (Granted, I was eating low carb - no starches, i.e., no breads, pasta, sugars, potatoes, rice, ice cream, cakes, cookies, and so on... interestingly, that diet led me to raw foods - there wasn't much else I was eating, so it was easy to go very raw -- I'd say 80%, just because I am not a saint, and I do backslide sometimes) There are some other naturopathic and homeopathic compounds out there, which I have tried, but the Herb Pharm compound is the one that has given me the best benefit. My last bottle cost me $8.79) > I also suspect I have a gluten sensitivity, so I try to avoid > breads, pastas, etc. made with it. Consider suspecting " sugar sensitivity " -- it will do the same thing to you as gluten sensitivity, and, if you suspect that, and drop wheat and sugars, you will probably get the best benefit. Thanks, Margaret! I'll try that! I typically avoid sugar anyway... not necessarily consciously, but because I prefer salt over sugar (something to do with my adrenal insufficiency). (Yes, sounds like I'm a mess, I know! I really do quite well considering all the crazy immune issues I have!!) I'll look into the Nettle/Bladderwrack extract right away! Thanks for the information! It's so nice to have experienced/knowledgeable feedback! Suzy > > >
Guest guest
I'm very interested in this topic since I have a thyroid condition. I have four nodules (fluid-filled) on both sides. They are not cancerous but I have been having them checked via sonograms every six months. I just had one done the other day. I wonder if eating raw might just make them go away. I was put on medication for awhile and decided I should try dealing with it in a natural way. However, I'm rather clueless about naturopathic remedies. I'm wondering what the reasons are for staying away from soy, too.
