Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to raw foods. I have purchased several raw foods cook books and the receipes call for grinding flax/sesame seeds, or brazil/cashew nuts etc. Can anyone recommend your favorite grinder plus its approx cost? Amazon.com has about 50 to choose from & Ebay.com is even more exhausting. Thanks. Vy
Guest guest
I have been using a cusine art (sp?) that I purchased from Bed Bath & Beyond. It has an attachment for using it like a food processor, and another attachment for using it like a blender. I paid $70 for it, and like it. I use it alot for making cashew " cheese " . I have also used the grain mill attachment on my champion juicer grind flax seed. It makes the softest " flour " ! I bought my champion juicer with the grain mill attachment on ebay for about $200. Hope that is what you were asking, and that it helps some. Leah violaelshabazz <shabangs wrote: Hi, I'm new to raw foods. Guest guest
I gring my nuts and seeds in this grinder for small batches aprox 1/4 cups at a time: http://www.mrcoffeestore.com/product_detail.asp?T1=COF+IDS77 I like it because the cup pops out for washing AND has a scraper build in to losen the stuff that gets stuck to the sides. For larger quantities of nuts and seeds such as 1 lb at a time I use a food processor. This is the one I use and it works well: http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-8-Cup/dp/B0007VU0IE/sr=1-1/ qid=1153793720/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-4775125-7109639?ie=UTF8 & s=kitchen I am not endorsing these web sources for buying them, I just did a google search and came up with these pictures so you could see what they looked like. I bought mine at our local Target, but don't know how that compares to buying them on line. I am happy with these so far!
