Guest guest
During amalgam removal, you and the dentist can be exposed to 90 times the amount of mercury considered " safe " . In reality, there is no safe level of mercury exposure and that's according to the WHO (World Health Organization.) The dentist should use a rubber dam around the tooth being worked on as well as good suction. It is tragic that the use of mercury in dentistry has been allowed to go on for over 160 years. Sadly, it has been used in medicine as well with horrid side effects. The use of mercury in medicine and dentistry should be deemed a criminal act! Was it the original poster that said it's almost impossible not to get a big dose of mercury when they are removed? What kind of precautions are taken?
