Guest guest
any ideas on how to have a healthy fresh and raw approach to a birthday cake? I am not having much luck in my search. The kids are old enough they know what traditional cakes look like but young enough that they still want it for theit birthdays and ours. " Mommy, You can't have a birthday without a birthday cake. " Any input would be helpful thanks.
Guest guest
Go to www.rawfamily.com and pick up " Raw Kids " written by the Boutenko teenagers. They have been raw most of their life and I know there are a couple cake recipes in that book. Shari
Guest guest
That's a tough one. The only thing that comes to mind that they might find acceptable is some type of ice cream cake. I have never done this, so I am just speculating here, but how about coming up with some type of crust (perhaps dates and dried coconut) with a raw ice cream on top. Pop that in the frezzer and let it set up. Take some additional colored (with strawberries or some such) and freeze to semi-soft and then pipe into onto the frozen cake to say happy birthday) and then freeze again to solidify the writing. -Mike --- hkk1998 <hkk1998 wrote: > any ideas on how to have a healthy fresh and raw approach to a > birthday cake? Guest guest
Hi, There is a wonderful raw vegan place called Leaf Cuisine in Culver City, CA and they make a raw, vegan, organic carrot cake. They also have other desserts. They have a website www.leafcuisine.com. If you do not live near this.....If you contact them they might be able to help you out with a recipe or a place that makes and sells cakes. Good Luck.
