Guest guest
You have all been so wonderful in answering all my questions, I just had to share what happened yesterday. I have never been much of a meat eater. However, occasionally I get these overwhelming cravings to eat a big fat juicy burger. Yesterday happened to be one of those days and I just felt like I couldn't take it. I searched through my fridge looking for anything that I could use to 'fake it'. Well, I had some walnut pate that I made from my " Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 people. " I spread it on a piece of romaine with sliced tomatoes and some veganaise (not raw, I know but I thought this one small allowance would be o.k.). It was wonderful and the craving was gone! I feel like I really made it over a big hurdle yesterday and today I was back to normal with no cravings! Tammy
Guest guest
Hi Tammy Good for you! That is awesome that you resisted! :-) I thought it would be cool for everyone to share what works/worked for them when those cooked cravings are a problem. When I first went raw for some reason this milkshake ALWAYS did the trick for me. It is so yummy and filling! It is not well combined and not ideal (frozen fruit) BUT it is much, much better than giving in to cooked cravings. Blend up: water and flesh from one young thai coconut several frozen bananas a handful of almonds or a couple of heaping tablespoons of almond butter Add raw carob powder if you are craving a chocolate shake. Guest guest
Good job! That veganaise tastes like the " real " thing, doesn't it? Guest guest
Thanks, Janet. Yes, I love the veganaise. I think that was what really gave my taste buds the impression that they were eating a real burger. Tammy On Aug 4, 2006, at 4:03 AM, Janet FitzGerald wrote: > Good job!
