My family will never go raw or vegan so I think they need vitamins, but

I know that many vitamins are synthetic. So I need a recommendation of

natural vitamins. They would not be willing to consume superfood

either. They must be in pill form please.

My mother used to run a health food store and she always recommend

Solovite by Solgar for a multivitamin.

Minnie,

they don't necessarily have to " go raw or vegan " -

maybe just " increase the percentage of " raw fruits, vegys, nuts and

seeds. Fruits are our best source of vitamins, followed by vegys;

vegys are our best source of minerals, followed by fruits.

best,

Vita-Synergy from Synergy Co. is the only whole food multi vitamin I know

of- all the rest are chemicals. It is a very good product.

You may be able to find others on Rawfood.com, or other raw food web sites.

I also think Dr Schulze puts his Super Food into capsules now.

Best to you-

Hi Minnie,

If you are looking for a natural raw whole food that has not been pasterized

I highly recommend Via Viente nectar. It has blueberry, grape, bilberry,

cranberry, aloe vera, apple, noni, elderberry and prune combine with a mineral

water. It makes a powerful anti oxidant and has kept my family extremely

healthy.

Blessings,

Tamara

I can attest to the Vita-Synergy from Synergy Co - I take them and they are

a whole food vitamin.

Fabulous.

Go to www.synergyworldwide.com if you want to read about their products.

When you get to the home page - click on Amazing Products - when you get to

that screen - on the right hand side is the VITA-Synergy picture and you'll

hear all about them.

You don't have to sign up as a distributor if you don't want to - but you

get a break in price if you do.

I sell these products and love love love them.

Check it out!

Hi everyone,

I'm Aphrodite in WI. I am new to the group and so happy to find a

support group. (as my husband thinks that I am nuts) I just started

the raw diet three days ago and so far it is going well. I do have a

few questions. In my research I found someone said something about

feeling really rotten for the first 2 months. I only found that one

place and has never been mentioned anywhere else. I have been tired and

very moody. Any one else experience this?

I am new to this, so bare with me please if these are silly questions.

I also wanted to ask about the vita-synergy. Is this VITAPAC? Or is

vita-synergy a completely different product. I went on the site and

could not find VITA-SYNERGY.

I also wonder about vinegar. Are there some that I can use and some

that I can not? I love balsamic and am afraid that might be off limits

too. Mustard is probably not raw either right? Just wondering what

kind of condiments are ok and what isn't. Although I am sure most are

not ok unless you make them yourself.

I also have quinoa flakes. I am not sure how those are made, yet my

guess would be that they were not cooked in any way. Anyone know for

sure?

Also, I am wondering about any websites that have really good cookie

recipes. I am kind of craving some cookies right now!

Thanks so much for the information. I am so happy to have stumbled upon

a few other likeminded people.

The RAW is so easy to do right now, but I really fear not being about to

keep it up during the winter months due to lack of good produce.

Eau Claire, WI

I do not recognize the products on the link provided by Judy. That is another

company and different products.

I was talking about Vita-Synergy whole food multi vitamins by The Synergy

Company. They are not sold through MMM or distributors.

Here is the correct link:

_The Synergy Company - Vita Synergy_

or try: _www.synergy-co.com_ (http://www.synergy-co.com)

sorry for the confusion.

Here's a rule of thumb: is your food in it's original package? Meaning does it

look like it was just picked or harvested? Does it look like the picture on a

seed packet?

And no, grains are not an optimal food. That's usually the next question.

Juices that you do not make are pretty much dead.

Personally 99% of what I buy I buy in the produce department. Makes shopping

very easy. The 1%? Raw nuts, preferably in the shell.

Hi Aphrodite, I am in WI too. I live in Bristol by the Illinois

border. I've been in Eauclair many times. My ex hunsband is from

Cornell. We were together for 20 years.

I have been 100% raw for about 5 weeks now. I was 75 - 90% for a few

months before going 100%. I was crabby for about 3 weeks and just

isolated so I didn't bite anoyone's head off.

I had a couple of bouts with diarreha - once for 2 days in the

beginning and once for about 1/2 day. I think it was poor food

combining or just flushing my system. I felt good afterward.

Evenyone has different experiences from my understanding and I think

it depends on age and how you ate before you started, and how much

medication and other things polluted your body.

Here is a cookie recipe I found in the book " Raw Food real world " by

Matthew Kinney.

Almond Butter Cookies

4 c Almond flour *

1 c Almond butter

3 tbls agaver nectar

1/2 c raw honey or date paste

2 tsp sea salt

Combine ingredients

Spoon on teflex sheets or roll out and cut to shapes you like.

Dehydrate 115 degrees for 12 - 24 hours until crisp. Stor in covered

container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

* 8 dehyrdated almonds that have soaked overnight and dehydrated for

12 hours - then ground to a flour.

I have found it's a lot of work compared to SAD cooking but I have

found some of these things a lifesafer when I felt like I really

craved something.
