Those were favorites. All of these are easily mixed up/ blended to the right consistency in the cuisinart. _____ Greetings everyone, Basic principle: If you have to blend it in order for the baby to be able to eat it, don't use it. The baby should be able to eat the food directly, with whatever teeth it has. This guideline can help prevent a lot of suboptimal choices, even choices that can lead to development of " food allergies " and " sensitivities " later on. When you do eventually introduce solid foods, begin with high water-content, highly alkalizing foods, with very soft skins appropriate to the baby's existing teeth. For best lifelong results, go with the sweet fruits first ... depending upon season, bananas, figs, apricots, persimmons, etc. Pears are good. What we want is to mimic what would develop if we were living in Nature, and that means our dominant taste must be fed first -- sweet. And we want to continue the baby in a very alkaline place. Along the same line, but expressed differently, we need to shift the baby from the fuel in mother's milk, somewhat high in fat, to lifelong fuel, simple sugars. The base of the healthiest diet is sweet fruits/tropical fruits. The other, more acidic fruits can be phased in gradually over time. The ONLY vegetables advisable for awhile are tender green leaves, and even these not at first. Corn is difficult for our species to digest at any age, let the child find it on his/her own, years from now, if he/she wishes. Vegetables, in general, are high in starch, never digested well by our species, and indigestible fiber (the term hopefully being self-explanatory).
