Guest guest
Yep, I do think it is " misinformation " and closed mindedness to Natural Hygiene. If man's existence on earth was measured like a clock, our eating of cooked food would equal ONE SECOND out of 24 hours. That is not too long at all. Don't think we've evolved far enough to be eating dead flesh or anything else cooked to death. Our society is continually looking for ways to justify eating dead food. Anything we need to cook and season to taste good is dead food. Ever try eating just a piece of toast? I always thought I craved toast, well I don't. I crave the butter and jam that goes on it because just toast is not pleasant for me. Ever eat just a baked potato, plain, nothing, no salt, no butter, no sour cream, no chives, nothing. Just how good is it? I'd much rather have a mango than a baked potato. Salt traditionally was used to preserve meat and spices came along to mask the stench of rotting flesh caused by lack of refrigeration. Stands to reason there were uses for these things as man became curious and started moving away from the seat of civilization, namely the warm, humid jungles or tropics. He needed a way to " save " food for the cold winters. Hence drying and salting of foods began. Man was not meant to live in the northern climes, but in tropical settings abundant with fruit. This says the way I feel...............it is written by David Icke. If you really want your head to explode, check him out at www.davidicke.com, but be warned you will be either very angry with me or at the top of the world what you find on that website. " When you are constantly moving forward, searching for the cutting edge, everyone behind you always believes you have gone too far. The further back from the cutting edge they are, the more extreme and, indeed, insane you appear to them, to be. In this way, one person's " madness " can be another's commonsense. Guest guest
Shari, I've only been looking into this for a few years now, and am still learning. Do you believe that for the millenia that humans ate nothing but raw fruit and veg, they carefully removed all bacteria, insects, worms, etc.? The only apes that don't deliberately include a small portion of animal products (such as eggs and insects)in their diets are gorillas, and these have been shown to injest a small but significant amount of insects that are present on the vegation they consume. I think it is quite possible (for some people) to be an outstandingly healthy human on a strict vegan diet, but I personally cannot find any evidence that this is what humans would naturally have eaten since they evolved into a distinct species. To my mind, to be vegan is an ethical decision. By the way, I have read rawschool.com and most of Shelton's writings, amongst other things. I don't have a fixed opinion and am open to changing my mind, I'm just going on what makes most sense to me logically. It's so difficult when there are so many contradictary studies out there, to sift some sense from it all! --- SV <shavig wrote: > Yep, I do think it is " misinformation " and closed > mindedness to Natural Hygiene. > > If man's existence on earth was measured like a > clock, our eating of cooked food would equal ONE > SECOND out of 24 hours. Guest guest
Okay, Elaine whatever you'd like to believe is fine with me. And no, I do not believe we picked off the bugs and bacteria, but I do believe we did not eat things infested with bugs and bacteria. Fruit is plentiful in the areas where man first stood, he did not have to eat inferior fruits. And even if he did, they would not make him sick as he was a healthy human being because of the natural diet he was eating. Shari
