Guest guest
Could someone please give me an example of your typical day on the Natural Hygiene " diet " ? Does this always mean mono eating?? Thanks! Micele in CA
Guest guest
Sometimes I'm mono and sometimes not. Here's yesterday: I ate a 15# watermelon. Shari

I'm new to this philosophy, but wow! Yo do not eat salads? This is just so different than what I've been taught. It's really hard to digest! Thanks for respoding to my question. I'm not meaning to pick on you, I'm just seriously stunned! Micele
Guest guest
The key word was " yesterday " . I certainly don't only eat watermelon everyday. You asked for a daily intake and that's what I had yesterday. That's all I wanted. Why would you think it's not healthy? Try going to www.FitDay.com and punch in a days worth of your food and see where you are. Then put in 15# of watermelon and see what it looks like. It comes out real close to the 80% carbs, 10% protein, 10% fat guidelines I try to stick to. Today so far: 3 pounds of blueberries 1 pound dark cherries 1 pound mixed greens 2 papaya 2 mango And for dinner I plan to have an avocado and some Napa cabbage. Better? Guest guest
I really did not mean my comments offensively. Sorry. So with today's foods, did you eat all of these things alone? What kind of greens are good, what is considered bad? Where do I find this info? I think I will try putting my foods into that site. I thought I ate pretty good yesterday and today. Let's see what it says! Take care! Micele in CA Micele Miller 1Timothy 1:15 If it doesn't bring peace, make another choice. Next-gen email? Have it all with the all-new Mail Beta. Guest guest
Hi Micele, Yesterday I ate: two large honeydew melons for breakfast about a pound of grapes for lunch four large mangoes for dinner Today I'm having two large honeydew melons for breakfast about 1/2 lb grapes for lunch 2 bananas as an afternoon snack tonite I'll probably have a salad with romaine lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes with orange juice for dressing and maybe another melon if I'm hungry Sometimes I get more complicated and blend up some fruit smoothies or make a raw soup--my favorite raw soup is about 5 large tomatoes blended with 2 stalks of celery, half of a red or yellow bell pepper, a large handful dates and the juice of one lime. You can add some diced cucumber and/or avocado after you blend it. It is very yummy!! :-) Take care, Audrey www.rawhealing.com > " hesavedmebygrace " <hesavedmebygrace >rawfood >rawfood >[Raw Food] NATURAL HYGIENE >Tue, 08 Aug 2006 18:50:23 -0000 > >Could someone please give me an example of your typical day on the >Natural Hygiene " diet " ? But today I had 2 small garden salads. If I don't eat the apple for breakfast it's just a fruit smoothie. I find just a handful of strawberries or 1/2 pint of blackberries (remember, I've been avoiding blueberries out of fear of their acidity) is very satisfying. When I first went raw I loved all the gourmet recipes, but now I don't even like putting dressing on my salad. I feel like it ruins it. I don't like mashing anything up either, for the same reason. Why not just eat the food? Melanie

Guest guest
It might be a ton of food to you, but I am in training for a triathlon and to climb Mt. Rainier (14,000+ feet) in two years. Shari

We went through all the trouble to do that and didn't like the outcome and in the end felt as if it would have been much nicer just to eat the pint of berries! :>) Melanie

Guest guest
WOW! Melanie you are really fit. I am 56 and just starting my climbing career. I've lived in WA all my life, but only downhill skied in the mountains, pretty lame compared to hiking! Shari
Guest guest
Wow - good for you. I was in Seattle and saw it - It's amazing to see all the mountains on one side and the city on the other side. What a view - I took the ferry boat to Bain (I think) island.
